NEWS

CONGRATULATIONS TO MS. MUNOZ!

Ms. Anna Munoz has recently been awarded the Distinguished Educator Award from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which will be awarded to her on December 2nd. Congratulations to Ms. Munoz, and a special thanks to her for all of her hard work!

KITCHEN GARDEN (PHASE 1)

On August 15th, we had over 20 students, staff, and community members, along with help from the MPUSD superintendent and the Godoy family, install a wonderful irrigation system. These volunteers put in a lot of back-breaking work to construct our kitchen garden, and were assisted by some Naval Post Graduate volunteers in their endeavors. We would like to thank all of you for your help and support, especially the administrators Mrs. Tyson and Mr. Morales.

KITCHEN GARDEN (PHASE 2)

On September 26th & September 27th, we worked on phase 2 of the kitchen garden. We built new raised beds, courtesy of Munoz Tree Service MTS. Thanks to Mr. Kim for all of the new raised beds on campus. Thanks to Mr. Chandler for the pallets in our new science and math gardens. Thanks to Cecilia Birmingham for her craftsmanship with the signs. And a last thanks to Ocean Guardian for ideas for the Watershed Awareness Signs in our garden!
