Joshua Yeater (8th Grader at Los Arboles Middle School). Besides not being formerly trained, he started golfing at 8 and picked up the game. He's won & placed in many tournaments & has been able to play at famous courses like Poppy Hills & Spyglass.

Last month on July 8th at the Club at Crazy Horse Ranch Joshua competed in the Drive, Chip & Putt Contest - Local competition. There are 4 Divisions both for Boys & Girls, Joshua competes in the 12-13 yr old Division. They take the top 3 from the Local Competition and Joshua placed 2nd & was able to advance to Sub-Regionals.

The Sub-Regional competition was just held this past week on Aug 12th at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Gilroy. Out of 13 boys in his division Joshua again placed 2nd in Driving, 2nd in Putting & 2nd overall! They only take top 2 in each division. Joshua now advances to Regionals which will be held at Chambers Bay in Washington State next month on Sep 12th where they only take top in each division to go to Augusta National Golf Course in Atlanta, GA.  Good luck Joshua!

Each month Los Arboles teachers and staff choose to honor Super Scholars of the month. Super Scholars are chosen for displaying hard work, positive behavior, and good citizenship.

Check back in September to see our 2015-2016 Super Scholars of the Month!
